Fungi Forest Console
This is a beauty. She is old and sturdy and was found with layers of shellac, and signs of wear and tear that detracted from her elegant shape and years of service. Restoration and some new additions revealed a piece willing to continue her story with refined, renewed and updated assertion.
Fungi Forest was first cleaned with environmentally considerate Green-Ez products. Primed with two coats of Wise Owl Primer, then a combination of Wise Owl Paint colors; Restoration, Limestone, Graphite, are beautifully blended on the top to integrate the Roycycled Decoupage paper and Redesign with Prima transfers. The base is painted in Wise Owl color Military Bronze. In addition, it was then accented all over (including the underside, a Tusk Abode standard treatment) with Wise Owl Bronze Heavy Metal Gilding Paint and then brushed with Wise Owl Furniture Salve in The Botinist (aptly chosen considering the beautiful composition featured) to create a gorgeous warm and dimensional glow and to impart a subtly sensuous scent. The top of the console is completely treated to three coats of durable clear Wise Owl One Hour Enamel to provide protection and enjoyment for years to come.
